PAINTING WITH MUSIC Mon 24th March 2025 2pm – 5pm Bournemouth

This workshop, held at my Bournemouth studio, caters to beginners or those seeking to enhance their skills. It centers on the correlation between music and painting, examining how diverse sounds can stimulate and direct our creation of a visual depiction. We will introduce a variety of musical styles and observe their effects on our brushstrokes as we produce an oil painting to take home afterwards.

SCHEDULE:

• Understanding the link between music and art
• Experimenting with ideas for composition using various sounds
• Seeing how music affects our choice of colours
  
• Creating a painting on a 40cm x 40cm board using music as our inspiration

Please bring clothing protection e.g. apron or overalls. and a small box to take your wet painting home.

Toilet and hand washing facilities available.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access to my studio.

My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques. 

All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring  and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.

The maximum capacity of workshops is four people so you can be assured of a relaxed session with plenty of individual attention if required.
