Have you got like minded friends who would love to try painting abstract landscapes in oil? This could be the perfect workshop for you.
Cold wax combined with oil paint is a beautiful technique that will add atmosphere to any painting. It's translucent quality assists with creating luminosity in a painting. This workshop will cover undertaking an abstract landscapes and help you create your very own cold wax painting which you will take home at the end of the session.
Designed and priced for four people, this workshop is held in my Bournemouth Studio and will cover the following:
- Looking at the principles & qualities of cold wax
- Sketching out abstract ideas on paper
- Mixing a basic colour palette
- Composing a painting on a prepared panel using oil & wax
How to book:
- Contact me with up to 3 provisional dates and a preferred time slot (Usually 10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm during the week but these can be flexible.
- I will reply to confirm availability or arrange an alternative.
- Once a time slot has been agreed, payment can be made through the shop for the appropriate workshop and your booking will be confirmed.
Workshops are held in my Bournemouth studio, a comfortable, relaxed environment to enjoy making art. All materials are included in the price, all you need to bring is an apron or coverall and a box or old towel to lay your painting on for transport.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access to my studio.
My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques.
All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.
