OIL TASTER SESSION Mon 3rd March 2025 1pm – 2.30pm Bournemouth

This 90 minute taster session held in my Bournemouth studio is designed for beginners wanting to explore oil painting.

With all materials included, this 90 minute session will inspire the inner abstract artist in you. We will look at the principles of making abstract art which you can use in the future to further develop your skills. More in depth workshops are available.

You are welcome to take your creation home but you will need to place it on a dust sheet or similar in the boot of your car. Maximum painting size will be 30cm x 30cm.

SCHEDULE:

• Basic sketching & mark making
• Sketching a composition
• Mixing a simple palette of colours
  
• Creating a painting on a 30cm x 30cm board

What is included?

• All paints & materials
• Tea & Coffee

Please bring clothing protection e.g. apron or overalls. and a small box to take your wet painting home.

Toilet and hand washing facilities available.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access to my studio.

My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques. 

All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring  and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.

The maximum capacity of workshops is four people so you can be assured of a relaxed session with plenty of individual attention if required.
