Seascapes lend themselves to painting expressively, and this workshop will help you to develop techniques to loosen up and paint a seascape in this freeing style. 

 THIS WORKSHOP IS SUITABLE FOR:

• A brief intro about seascapes
• Sketching composition ideas
  
• Mixing useful seascape colours
• Developing expressive painting techniques
• Creating a painting which you will take home (no bigger than 40cm x 40cm)

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

• All materials and supplies
• Tea and coffee / cold drinks
• Workshop information sheet 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

• An apron or coverall to protect clothes
• Container to transport your painting

FACILITIES:

• Toilet and handwashing
• Unfortunately there is no disabled access to the studio

 

ABOUT MICHAEL'S WORKSHOPS & STUDIO:

Located in Charminster, Bournemouth, my studio is a warm and inviting place conducive to a relaxed approach for creating art. The maximum capacity for each workshop is five people which enables an easy going, uncrowded atmosphere, important for enjoyable learning. 

A studio is the place where ideas are formed and developed with the goal of creating something new and exciting. The process of creating art involves thinking and imagination, sometimes combined with failure and trying again until something pleasing is achieved.

My workshops are designed for beginners and improvers, where I share basic principles that can be applied both during the session and in an individuals future artistic creations. I pass on my knowledge and experience gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques.

Learning must be fun and enjoyable to work effectively so all workshops are structured with this in mind, catering for all capabilities and personalities. Workshop themes have been chosen from listening to what people want to learn and of course, any suggestions for additional workshops will be considered.
