Exploring The Beauty Of Oil Painting - 4 SESSION EVENING COURSE - July 9, 16, 23, 30 - 2024 6pm - 9.30pm

Throughout history many mediums have been developed to create great works of art. Probably the best known and most widely used is oil paint.

Have you thought about developing your skills with oil paint or have you wanted to try oil painting for the first time but don't know where to start?                                  

Held in my Bournemouth studio this four session course has been designed to cover some of the main principles in oil painting and to simplify the processes that many find tricky. It is suitable for beginners and those who have had some experience in oil painting.

We will focus on surface preparation, mark making, colour mixing and applying paint effectively to achieve a beautiful result. The aim of the course is to teach basic principles which you can develop further as you wish. Painting should be fun and enjoyable so you can be assured of a friendly relaxed atmosphere to work in. The maximum capacity of my course is four people which allows for individual attention as required.

All materials are included and refreshments provided. All you need to bring is some clothing protection such as an apron or overalls, and something to lie your finished painting on when transporting it home on the last day.
