COMPOSITION & PERSPECTIVE Mon 24th March 2025 10am – 1pm Bournemouth

This workshop is focused on the art of composing a pleasing painting using principles of composition and by looking at how various forms of perspective can be used to add depth to the field of vision. Aimed at beginners and improvers, we will each construct our own oil painting using these principles after some practice exercises and sketches. At the end of the session you will be able to take your painting home.

• Creating a painting on a prepared board

Please bring clothing protection e.g. apron or overalls. and a small box to take your wet painting home.

Toilet and hand washing facilities available.

My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques. 

All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring  and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.

The maximum capacity of workshops is four people so you can be assured of a relaxed session with plenty of individual attention if required.
