ALL DAY WORKSHOP - SEASCAPE IN OILS - Saturday November 15th 2025 - 10am - 4pm Bournemouth

Living near the coast provides great opportunities to capture the power of the sea in a painting. If you've ever fancied painting a seascape but could do with some pointers to help you, this is the workshop for you.

This workshop will cover some of the main principles in undertaking a seascape and capturing the movement of the ocean. Suitable for beginners and those who have had some experience in oil painting. 

The aim of the workshop is to teach basic principles which you can develop further as you wish. Painting should be fun and enjoyable so you can be assured of a friendly relaxed atmosphere to work in. The maximum capacity of each workshop is four people which allows for individual attention as required. There will be a short lunch break and a couple of refreshment breaks through the day. Please bring your own lunch.

SCHEDULE:

• Discussing basic principles of oil painting
• Developing and sketching out ideas
• Mixing a basic colour pallette 
• Undertaking a painting based on your sketches

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

• All paints, tools & equipment
• Tea & Coffee

Please bring clothing protection e.g. apron or overalls. a box large enough to take your wet painting home and your lunch.

Toilet and hand washing facilities available.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access to my studio.

My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques. 

All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring  and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.

The maximum capacity of workshops is four people so you can be assured of a relaxed session with plenty of individual attention if required.
