1 HOUR TASTER WORKSHOP (ABSTRACTS IN OIL) Friday 31st Oct 2025 10am – 11am Bournemouth

This one hour taster session held in my Bournemouth studio is designed for beginners wanting to explore oil painting.

With all materials included, this introductory workshop will inspire the inner abstract artist in you. We will look at some basic abstract principles which you will use in a small painting to take away with you.

Please bring an old towel, cloth or box to transport your painting at the end of the workshop.

SCHEDULE:

• Basic sketching & mark making
• Mixing basic colours
• Creating a painting on a prepared board

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

• All paints & materials
• Tea & Coffee

Please bring clothing protection e.g. apron or overalls. and a small box to take your wet painting home.

Toilet and hand washing facilities available.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access to my studio.

My workshops are designed to teach the basic principles of various subjects, so you can apply them in your own artistic creations. I share the knowledge and experience of my time as a professional artist, gained from years of experimenting with various methods and techniques. 

All workshops are held in my private studio in a relaxed environment which helps make the painting process enjoyable. Creating art should be fun and inspiring  and my workshops endeavour to achieve this.

The maximum capacity of workshops is four people so you can be assured of a relaxed session with plenty of individual attention if required.
