About this workshop

Designed for one person looking to develop skills in painting techniques.

Choice of subject, style, medium and duration are yours. You'll be painting in a relaxed, supportive environment. This tailored one to one workshop uses basic principles in a simplified manner which are applied to help you achieve your artistic goal.

HOW TO BOOK:

1 Choose a subject - skies, seas, landscapes, figures or still life.

2 Choose a style - abstract or expressionist.

3 Choose a medium - oil or acrylic.

4 Choose a duration - 3 or 6 hours.

5 Contact me with your choices and up to three suggested dates along with any other requirements you'd like to include.

I will confirm a date via email and include a link to this page where you can make payment by selecting either 3 or 6 hour option in the drop down below. Once payment has been made the booking will be reserved you will receive confirmation and instructions for the workshop.

About Michael's Workshops

Michael Hemming is a UK-based artist known for his expressive sea, land and sky paintings where he uses abstract and semi abstract techniques. His workshops focus on process over perfection, helping artists work intuitively and develop their own visual style rather than just copying.

Michael has developed his unique style over many years of experimentation and by building a knowledge base of pigments, colour mixing and expressive mark making. He enjoys being able to share his enthusiasm for painting in his workshops which are held in his Bournemouth studio. He also visits art groups across several counties where he is invited to share his knowledge.

Materials

All materials are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own brushes if you prefer. All you need to bring is clothing protection & something to lay your painting on to transport it.

Usually an alternative date can be arranged as long as 24 hours notice is provided.
